AnswEr :

  • The force of the floor will push up on his feet = 640 N.

Explanation :

We are given with the mass of a boy as well as weight of a school bag, that is,

  • Mass of a boy = 60 kg.
  • Weight of a school bag = 40 N.

We have to find out the force of the floor will push up on his feet.

We know that weight is also a force which we exert on ground, such that,

  • Weight = Mass × Acceleration due to gravity.

And we also know the value of acceleration due to gravity, that is,

  • Acceleration due to gravity, g = 10 m/².

Now,

As we are given with the mass of a boy and acceleration due to gravity we know the required formula, that is,

F = mg.

Substituting the given values in the formula,

⇒ F = 60 × 10

⇒ F = 600

Now,

Total force exerted on ground by a boy,

⇒ F = 600 + 40

F = 640

Hence, force of the floor will push up on his feet is 640 N.

Answer:

 \huge\bf {Given}

  • Mass of boy (M) = 60 kg
  • Weight of school bag (W) = 40 N

 \huge \bf To  \: find

Force (F)

 \huge \bf Solution

Here,

we shall first find acceleration due to gravity.

So, the acceleration due to gravity will be 10 m/s.

 \huge \bf F = MG

 \sf f = 60 \times 10

 \sf \: f = 600 \:

Now,

Finding total force extracted by boy

 \tt force = 600 + 40

 \huge \bf force = 640
