AnswEr :

The force of the floor will push up on his feet = 640 N.

Explanation :

We are given with the mass of a boy as well as weight of a school bag, that is,

  • Mass of a boy = 60 kg.
  • Weight of a school bag = 40 N.

We have to find out the force of the floor will push up on his feet.

We know that weight is also a force which we exert on ground, such that,

Weight = Mass × Acceleration due to gravity..

And we also know the value of acceleration due to gravity, that is,

Acceleration due to gravity, g = 10 m/².

Now,

As we are given with the mass of a boy and acceleration due to gravity we know the required formula, that is,

⟶ F = mg.

Substituting the given values in the formula,

F = 60 × 10

F = 600

Now,

Total force exerted on ground by a boy,

F = 600 + 40

F = 640

Hence, force of the floor will push up on his feet is 640 N.
