REACHING THE AGE OF ADOLESCENCE

During puberty, one experiences a lot of changes in his/her body. It includes height as well.

At the age of 9 years, a boy's height reaches 75% of his total height whereas a girl's height reaches 81% of her total height.

Formula for calculating the full height :-

(Present Height in cm's / % of full height at this age) x 100

Now, back to the question :-

  • Gender - Male
  • Age - 9 years
  • Present Height - 120 cm
  • % of full height at this age - 75% (as per the chart)

Substitute the values in the formula :-

(120/75) x 100 = 160 cm

So, the boy's height at the end of growth period will be 160 cm.
