A boy is running along the rectangular path ABCD as shown in the picture below. He starts from A and returns back to A in 6 minutes. 7 m 5 m par (i) What is the total distance covered by the boy?

Let us assume this path to be a rectangle ABCD.

AB=CD=50 m

BC=DA=20 m

Total distance is the total distance actually covered by him.

So,

Total Distance = 50+20+50+ 20

Total Distance = 140m
