A boy is sitting on a merry - go - round of radius 7 m, which is moving with a constant speed of 11 m/s. Calculate the distance and displacement covered by the boy after 6 seconds

speed=11m/s
radius=7m
time= 6sec
we know that…d/t=speed
so, distance=speed x time
=11 x 6 m = 66m
therefore, no of rounds made = distance ÷ circumference
= 66 ÷ 2π7 = 66 ÷ (14 x 22/7)= 66/44 = 3/2
this can be written as 2 whole + 1/2
therefore we can pretend the displacement = diameter
=2r=14m
