As the body is moving in circular motion, the velocity of the body is keep on changing but change in it's direction.
So, the motion will be
(iii) in accelerated motion.

Question:

A boy is sitting on merry-go-round which is moving with a constant speed of 10 metre per second this means that the boy is at rest or moving with no acceleration or an accelerated motion on moving with non with uniform velocity.

OR

A boy is sitting on a Merry Go Round which is moving with a constant speed of 10 M per second full stop this means that the boy is at rest knowing with mic solution or an accelerated motion on moving with uniform velocity.

Consider the first question.

The boy is in accelerated motion.

Explanation:

  • Velocity is defined as rate of change of distance with respect to time.
  • Acceleration is defined as rate of change of velocity with respect to time.
  • From question, the velocity of the merry-go-round is 10 m/s and the boy is sitting in that merry-go-round.
  • The boy is changing the direction of the motion, the boy experiences centripetal acceleration towards centre.
  • So, the boy is accelerated on moving with non with uniform velocity.
