A boy is standing at a distance of 4m in front of a mirror. He moves 2 m towards the mirror in which direction will the image move towards the mirror or away from it ?

As we know the separation between the object and mirror is same as the separation between image and mirror, so when boy is at distance of 4 m away form the mirror then image is also at 4 m away from the mirror. Since boy moves 2 m towards the mirror, therefore image also moves towards the mirror.
