  • Velocity of boy = 1.5 km/hr
  • Distance covered by boy = 820 m

  • What is the velocity of boy in m/s and time taken by the boy ?

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{SoLuTion:-}}}}

❶ Velocity of boy is 1.5 km/hr

Change the velocity in m/s:-

v = 1.5 \times \sf{\dfrac{5}{18}}

v = \sf{\cancel\dfrac{7.5}{18}}

VELOCITY = 0.416 m/s

The velocity of boy is 0.416 m/s

❷ Distance is 820 m and velocity is 0.416 m/s

To find the time taken, we use the formula:-

\large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: TIME = \dfrac{DISTANCE}{SPEED} \: \star}}}

According to question:-

T = \sf{\cancel\dfrac{820}{0.416}}

TIME = 1971.15 sec

Hence, the Time taken by the boy is 1971.15 seconds

Given:-

Velocity of the boy = 1.5km/hr

Distance covered by the boy =820m

To Find:-

1.Express this velocity in m/s.

2.Find the time taken to cover the distance of 820m.

Solution:-

1. Velocity of boy is 1.5 km/hr.

Change the velocity in m/s.

V = 1.5× 5/18

V = 7.5/18

V = 0.416 m/s.
