A boy is walking on a road with a velocity 2m/s. He stops after a certain distance. Find his acceleration if time taken is 7000seonds??? It is ridiculous, isn't it??

HELLO THERE!

In science, if it is logical, nothing ever is ridiculous.

For example, Physics say, that if you divide the Earth into two equal halves along the longitude, and throw a ball, the ball will just jump up and down, it will never fall down and get lost in the space. However, if you think practically, you may say it is ridiculous, because when the ball will reach the centre of the Earth, the temperature will melt it and it will not be able to continue its motion.

Now to answer your question,

Initial velocity (u) = 2 m/s.

Final velocity (v) = 0 (since the body stops).

Acceleration = Change in velocity/Time

= 0 - 2 / 7000

= -2.85 x 10⁻⁴ m/s²

The acceleration is in an opposite direction of the motion.

HOPE I'M CORRECT.

THANKS!
