Present age of boy = x
After 5 years his age = x + 5
A/Q ---
x + 5 = 1/2 of father's age
2(x + 5) = father's age
Present age of father = 2(x + 5) - 5 = 2x + 10 - 5
= 2x + 5 years
Hope This Helps You!

Let
The present age of father = y
The father's age after 5 years = p
We know that -
Present age of boy = x
Age of boy after 5 years = x + 5
Now Acc to question
Age of boy after 5 years = half of father's age after 5 years
x + 5 = 1/2 * p
2(x + 5) = p
So the present age of father i given as
y = p - 5
y = 2(x + 5) - 5
y = 2x+10-5
y = 2x + 5 (REQUIRED ANSWER)
