Answer:

The son is now 10 years old.

Let,the son is X years old

So the father is 5X years old

We can write, after 10 years

(X+10)+(5X+10)=80

6X+20=80

6X=60

X=10

which is the son’s age

Answer:

(a) As the father is five times older than he is, and the difference in their ages is 32, it can be represented by the following equation:-

5x-x=32

(b) In the equation- 5x-x=32

4x=32

x=32/4=8

Therefore the age of the boy is 8
