a boy jogs from one end a to the other end B of a straight 300m road in 2 minutes 30 seconds and then turns back and jogs 100m back to point c in another one minute calculate boys average speed and average velocity during first two minutes 30 seconds and during the whole journey​.

  1. avr. speed = 300÷(120+30) = 2m/s
  2. avr.velocity is same since distance = displacement

FOR WHOLE JOURNEY

  1. avr.speed = 400 ÷( 180+30) = 1.906 m/s
  2. avr. velocity =200 ÷ (180+30) = 0.952 m/s
