A boy lifted a bag of cement of mass 50kg through a distance of 6 metres,calculate the work done by the boy

mass =60kg

s =6mts

work done=F.S

=50.6

=300

work= force x displacement

distance= 6m

but, force= mass x acceleration due to gravity ( 9.8 which is rounded off to 10)  

therefore, force = 50 x 10

                          = 500 N

so,  work = 500 x 6

              = 3000J
