Displacement is the length of shortest path between initial and final position. It is  a vector so the direction should also be mentioned.

If you draw the diagram, according to pythagoras' theorem, the displacement will be  $\sqrt{ 3^{2} + 4^{2} } = 5m$

And the direction is north-east.
