speed =distance/time

=(6+6+10+10)/32

=1m/s

after 14 sec

py Pythagoras

x^2=100 + 16

X =✓116

X=10.7 m is displacement

Answer:

Displacement of the boy = 14 m

Explanation:

Given data

A boy is moving along the boundary of the rectangular field ABCD

Dimensions of the rectangular field = 6 m × 10 m

                ⇒   length = 6 m  and  breadth = 10 m

the time taken by boy to complete 1 round around field = 32 sec

here we need to find displacement at end of the 14th second

the distance travel in 1 round = perimeter of rectangle

                                                 =  2 (6+10) = 2(16) = 32 m

the time taken to travel 32 m = 32 sec

the speed of the boy = 32 m / 32 sec

                                   = 1 m/sec

⇒ in 1 sec he can travel 1 m

⇒ in 14 sec he will be at 14 m

⇒ displacement of the boy = 14 m
