Answer:

m =50+10 = 60kg

v = 2m/s

k = 1/2mv²

=1/2*60*(2)²

=1/2*60*4

= 120 J

Answer:

The total kinetic energy is 120 J.

Explanation:

Mass of the boy = 50 Kg

Mass of the bicycle = 10 Kg

∴ Total mass will be, m = 50 + 10 = 60 Kg

Speed of the bicycle and the boy is, v = 2 m/s

The kinetic energy can be found using the equation:

K.E = (mv²) / 2

K.E = (60 × 2²) / 2

K.E = 120 J
