as in this question we have to conserve momentum because net external force is zero here . so apply M1V1 +M2V2 = (M1+M2)*Vfinal
so Vf=( 1*3+140*1.5) ÷141 m/s
so Vf=( 1*3+140*1.5) ÷141 m/s
