A boy pushing a pillar with all his force is not doing any work. Why?​

For work to be done, he has to move. Even though he's exerting force, his net displacement is zero.

∴ m = x and D = 0

 Since D = 0

∴ a=0

Hence F = m.a. =  0 × x = 0
