Unitary method :

In one minute = 201.5 m

2 minutes = 201.5/1 * 2

2 minutes = 403 m

Here I used Unitary method. You can also use Proportion method to solve this problem.

Proportion method :

Let the distance covered by a boy be x m

Proportion =  1 : 2 : : 205.5 : x

We know that product of means is equal to product of extremes.

Here mean = 2, 205.5  ; extremes = 1, x

Product of means = Product of extremes

2 * 205.5 = 1 * x

403 = x

x = 403

Therefore a boy can run 403 m in 2 minutes.
