so, 28% of 500

= 28/100 × 500

= 28 × 5

= 140

so, the boy secured 140 marks .

Hence, The passing marks = 140+10 = 150

Passing % = 150/500 × 100

or, passing % = 150/5

or, passing % = 30%

hence, passing percentage = 30%
