Here is your answer;

If a boy sitting in a train moving with the constant acceleration in a straight line throws  ball vertically up, then the ball will fall behind him. The reason is the train and a boy is moving with a constant acceleration, so the boy will move forward relative to the ball when it moves upwards with time. The relative forward displacement of the boy and person relative to the ball doesn’t allow the boy and a person to be at the same place as the ball when it reaches down. So as a result, the ball will fall behind the boy.

Answer:

The ball is thrown in vertically upward direction and given that the train is moving up with a constant velocity. therefore, the horizontal velocity of the train and ball are both same. And, the ball travels the same horizontal distance as that of the train. Therefore, the ball will come back into the hands of thrower.
