He spent 2/5 money,

therefore,
he have 3/5 money left.

ATQ, he have 45 rupees.

So,
The total money is 'x'.

(3/5)x = 45
x = (45×5)/3
x = 15×5

x = 75.

Therefore, Initial money = 75Rs.

Money he spent = 75-45 = 30Rs.
