Let the total money he has be x

Now,

The money he spends in shop is

1/3 of x = x/3

The Money left with him after visiting the shop is -

x - x/3 = (3x - x) /3 = 2x/3

Now we goes to another shop and spends 1/2 of remaining money -

1/2 of 2x/3

= 1/2 × 2x/3 = 2x/6

If he spends 2x/6 the remaining money is -

2x/3 - 2x/6 = ( 4x - 2x )/6 = 2x/6 = x/3

But given that Remaining money is Rs.15

Therefore, x/3 = 15

Now we can solve this equation :-

x/3 = 15

=> x = 45

THE TOTAL MONEY HE HAS IS Rs. 45

VERIFICATION :-

If 45 is this total money then he spent in first shop is

1/3 × 45 = 15 Rupees.

Money left with him is Rs. 45 - 15 = 30

Now he spend 1/2 of money in another shop which means

1/2 × 30 = Rs.15

Remaining money = 30 - 15 = Rs.15

which is given in the question so our answer is correct.
