Given :

The Money spent by the boy = 3/5

The money for shoes = 1/4 .

We have to assume if he have 2400 rupees then what would be cost he spend on shoes ?

To find :

Money he spent on shoes ?

Solution :

Total number of money = Rs.2400

Step 1 : Money which is spent on cloth

\implies\sf{ \frac{3}{5}  \times total \: money \:  =  \frac{3}{5} \times 2400 } = 1140

Therefore, The boy have buy the cloth of Rs. 1140

Remaining money = The total money - Money spend on the cloth .

= 2400 - 1140 = Rs.960.

Step 2 : The money spent on shoes

\implies\sf{ \frac{1}{4} \times remaining \: money \:  =  \frac{1}{4}  \times 960 = rs.240 }

Hence, He spent Rs 240 on shoes.
