A boy standing at a distance of 4 m in front of a mirror he moves 2 m over the mirror in which direction will the image move towards the mirror or away from it

Charecteristic of plain mirror include-

the distance of the object and the mirror is same as the distace between the image and the mirror.
When the boy was standing 4m away from the mirror the image was also 4m away from the mirror. So, when the boy moved 2m towards the mirror; the image also maved 2m towards the mirror
