a boy standing on the roof of a building 45 m high, throws a stone up in air. if the stone reached its highest point and fell 63 m below to the ground, how high was the stone thrown from the roof?

boy was standing at an elevation of = 45m
height of stone when it fall on ground = 63 m
so stone was thrown from roof at a height
= 63 - 45 m
= 18m
