Given

● Time taken = 1 hour

● Distance b/w house & playground = 3.6 km

To find

Speed in km/h, m/s & cm/s.

Solution

Speed in km/h :

Here distance (d) = 3.6 km.

Time (t) = 1 hour

We know that,

● Speed = Distance/Time

⇒ Speed = 3.6/1

Speed = 3.6 km/h

Speed of boy in km/h = 3.6 km/h

Speed in m/s :

Distance = 3.6 km

= (3.6 × 1000) m

= 3600

Time = 1 hour

= (1 × 3600)s

= 3600 s

Using same formula :

⇒ Speed = 3600/3600

Speed = 1 m/s

Speed of boy in m/s = 1 m/s

Speed in cm/s :

Distance = 3.6 km

= (3.6 × 1000 × 100) cm

= 360000 cm

Time = 3600 s

Using same formula :

⇒ Speed = 360000/3600

Speed = 100 cm/s

Speed of boy in cm/s = 100 cm/s
