A boy staying in a coastal region tests the drinking water and also the sea water with his tester. He found that the compass needle deflects more in the case of sea water. Explain the reason.

because in sea water preasent very small particals of sand and salt

due to the more no. of salts like magnesium and calcium, it has some magnetic properties. so the compass deflects more,.
where as in drinking water there are no salts
