A boy travelled 6 kms towards east and recognised that he went in a wrong direction. Then he walked 12 kms towards west and turned right and walked 8 kms .What is the distance he travelled?

distance covered in east direction = 6 kms

distance covered in West direction = 12 kms

distance covered in South direction = 8 kms

total distance covered = (6 + 12 + 8) kms

= 26 kms
