A boy travels with speed 60 km/h for 30 minutes,then with speed 45 km/h for 1 hr. Find the total distance travelled by the boy and average speed of the boy.

Explanation:

Firstly he travelled with 60kmph for half hour that is distance travelled is 30 km and then he travelled at the speed of 45kmph for 1 hour that is he covered 45km.

So total distance covered is 30+45=75 km

as speed = distance /time so distance =speed*time.

Alsi avg. speed = total distance /total time

that is 75/3/2 as total time is 1 1/2 hrs so 3/2 hrs

that is 75*2/3 = 25*2=50kmph
