Explanation:

ANSWER:-

Given:-

Circumference or Perimeter is 50m.

Half circle covered in 20 seconds.

We know that

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

By using the above formula,

We can find out speed.

Provided that

  • Distance=50 metre
  • Time= 20 seconds

Now, using the formula , we get

Speed=50/2

Speed = 25m/s

WHAT IS SPEED?

Speed is the ratio of Distance travelled in 1 second OR Ratio of distance and time.

Tips for solving these questions

We are given that the person traverses that means to cover Distance of 50m ie the circumference. He covers Half circle in 20 seconds. So, using speed formula, we can derive it.

Velocity= Displacement / Time.

So, here also, as he didn't cover the full circle ,

velocity will be also 25m/s.

____________

WHAT IS VELOCITY?

Speed is the ratio of Displacement travelled in 1 second OR Ratio of displacement and time.
