A boy walks 3m in 2s in East then 2m in 3s in West find his average velocity and average speed​

Explanation:

Since,the boy started walking in East and then return along the same path in West, then------

For average velocity,

v(av.)={3+(-2)}/(2+3)

=1/5

=0.2 m/sec

and,

For average speed,

v(av.)=(3+2)/(2+3)

=5/5

=1 m/sec

So,

average velocity of boy is 0.2 m/sec in West and average speed of boy is 1 m/sec.

Note-Always mention the direction of motion with average velocity.
