First we have to change 20 min into seconds,i.e.
20 × 60
= 1200 seconds
now we have to change 0.5 km in metres, I.e
0.5 × 1000
= 500 m
Now average speed is
Total distance travelled/total time taken
so,
500 + 500 ÷ 1500 + 1200
= 0.3 m/s
