a boy walks from his home to a post office at a distance of 0.5km in 20 min. he then returns to his home in time 25 min. find the average speed of a boy​

Answer:

First we have to change 20 min into seconds,i.e.

20 × 60

= 1200 seconds

now we have to change 0.5 km in metres, I.e

0.5 × 1000

= 500 m

Now average speed is

Total distance travelled/total time taken

so,

500 + 500 ÷ 1500 + 1200

= 0.3 m/s
