According to the question,

Constant Speed of the boy = 4 km/h

Time taken by the boy = 30 minutes = 0.5 hour

Applying the formula,

distance = speed × time

= ( 4 km/hr × 0.5 ) km

= 2 km.

Thus, distance of school from his house is 2 km.

Answer:

speed = time / distance

4 km /h= 60/2 min /x

4 km/h = 30 min / x

4km /h = 4/2

x = 2 km
