2kms

it's simple mental calculation
if he can walk 4km in 1hr he would walk 2km in half hour i.e 30mins

otherwise use simple maths
Distance = speed x time

distance = 4 x 1/2 = 2km

HELLO user here is the solution

∵ we know speed = DISTANCE/TIME

=  Distance = speed * time

speed = 4km/h (constant )

time =  30 min = 1/2 hrs

∴ Distance = (1/2  *4)km

= 2  km

BY THE WAY what do you think the boy is able to study after reaching shool >_<

mairazainab: YeaH ! mayb if the boy is lyk u thn he would definitely study in the school >_< isn't it !?
