 \mathbb{LAW  // OF  // IMAGE // FORMATION //  IN // PLAIN  // MIRROR : }

The image formation will be equidistant from the original object from the mirror . This clarifies that the speed from which the boy walks towards the mirror will be of same speed as of speed from original boy from mirror .

Velocity of real boy = 1m/s

Velocity of image boy = -1m/s ( the negative sign is just used to denote that image formed is in the left )

Relative speed between boy and the image = velocity of real boy - Velocity of image boy

Relative speed between boy and the image = ( 1m/s ) - (- 1m/s) = 2m/s

image is approaching to him with a speed of 2m/s
