A boy weighing 20 kg is sitting at one end of a see-saw at a distance of 1.2 m from
the centre. Where should a man weighing 60 kg sit on the see-saw, so that it stands
balanced?

Moment of force should be same to balance the see-saw.
i.e. F1R1 = F2R2
F1 = mg = 200 N
R1 = 1.2 m
F2 = 600 N
R2 = X m
A/q
200×1.2 = 600×X
⇒X = 2.4/6 = 0.4 m from the centre
