Answer:

GIVEN:

A boy of weight of 60 kg.

the dimension of the platform is 2.5cm×0.5cm

TO FIND:

the pressure exerted by the boy on the platform

SOLUTION:

We know the pressure (P)= force(F)/area(A)

the force (f)= mass(m)× acceleration (a)

here acceleration is due to gravity so let's take it g

the value of g is 10m/s^2

force =mg

=60kg×10m/s^2

=600 Newton

area=2.5cm×0.5cm

=1.25cm^2

=1.25×10^–8 m

pressure (P)= F/A

=600 N/1.25×10^–8m

=4.8×10^6 N/m^2
