A boy while driving to his school covers at the average speed of 15km/h.On his return trip along the same route ,covers at the average speed of 25km/h due to less traffic.What is his average speed for the whole trip

Let the distance on one side be x
Time taken for 15km = x/15
Time taken for 25km = x/25
Total time taken = x/15 + x/25 = 8x/75
Total distance covered = 2x
Therefore average speed = 2x / 8x/75

2x * 8* /75 = 18.75 kmh
