Given :-

→ Initial velocity of the body = 20 m/s

Final velocity of the body = 40 m/s

→ Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/

To find :-

→ Time taken to reach final velocity.

Solution :-

According to the 1st equation of motion [free-fall], we know that :-

v = u + gt

Where :-

v is the final velocity of the body.

u is initial velocity of the body.

g is acceleration due to gravity.

t is time taken.

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ 40 = 20 + 10(t)

⇒ 40 - 20 = 10t

⇒ 20 = 10t

⇒ t = 20/10

t = 2 seconds

Thus, the body takes 2 seconds to reach a velocity of 40 m/s .

Answer:

t = 2sec

(to reach the speed from 20 m/s to 40 m/s)

Explanation:

reffer the pic...

We can use the kinematic equation only because the acceleration is constant.
