 Substitute  \:a = 37, b = 4 , r = 1 , \:these \\values \: in \: a = bq + r , \: we \:get

 37 = 4 \times q + 1

 \implies 37 - 1 = 4q

 \implies 36 = 4q

 \implies \frac{36}{4} = q

 \implies q = 9

Therefore.,

Answer:

a=bq+r

a=37,b=4,r=1

37=4×q+1

37=4q+1

37-1=4q

36=4q

36÷4=q

9=q

therefore q=9
