After grafting the color of the flower will be blue.
Explanation:
- Grafting is the process of joining two parts of plants to make them grow as one.
- While grafting the genetic characteristics of the plant is remained in the stem.
- So, if we grated a blue rose stem into a red rose plant then the color of the rose will still be blue.
- To change the color of the rose the seeds must be hybridized or altered, grafting won’t change the colors.

Answer:
When there is grafting on one plant upon another, there is nurturing of the part grafted upon the rootstock. This inhibits the vegetative growth of the rootstock so it will not overtake the grafted part. So, if you graft a blue rose upon red rose rootstock, you get blue roses from the part you have nurtured. When you graft, each plant part retains its original genetic identity thus only blue roses will be produced.
