The brick can either be placed lengthwise, breadthwise or heightwise

In all these cases, the area of contact changes which changes the pressure

The three areas of contact are,

length×breadth = 320cm² = 320×10^-4

breadth×height = 100cm² = 100×10^-4

length×height = 320cm² = 320×10^-4

Hence,

Pressure = Force/Area

P1 = 16/320×10^-4 = 160000/320 = 500 Pa

P2 = 16/100×10^-4 = 1600 Pa

P3 = 16/320×10^-4 = 160000/320 = 500 Pa
