Answer: Pressure exerted on the brick at bottom is due to the force exerted by its weight divided by its area.

Pressure= Force / Area

Where F=16N

area= lengthx breadth

area=32cmx10xcm=(32/100)mX( 10/100 )m

=0.32m x0.1m=0.032m²

Pressure=16/0.032=500N/m²

Pressure exerted by the brick  is 500N/m² or 500 Pa
