In case of brick

length=15cm

breadth=8cm

height=5cm

volume of brick=length×breadth×height

=15×8×5

=600cm^3

In case of wall

length=15m=1500cm

breadth=10m=1000cm

height=8m=800

no. of brick=volume of wall /volumeofbrick

=1500×1000×800/600

=250×1000×800

=200000000

Answer:

2000000 bricks are required to make wall .

Step-by-step explanation:

To find : how many bricks will be used to make a wall of length 15m, breadth 10 meter and height 8 meters .

Given : A brick measures 15 cm in length, 8 cm in breath and 5 cm in height.

Solution :

  • We know that, Volume of cuboid = length \times breadth \times height
  • Now , volume of each brick = 15 \times 8\times5

                                                      = 600\ cm ^{3}

  • We know that , 1 \ m = 100\ cm
  • Length of wall = 1500 cm , breadth of wall = 1000 cm ,

        height of wall = 800 cm .

  • Then , volume of the wall = 1500\times1000\times800

                                                   = 1200000000\ cm ^{3}

  • Hence ,total number of bricks required  = \frac{volume \ of \ wall \ }{volume \ of \ one\ brick }

                                                                           = \frac{1200000000}{600}\\\\=2000000
