Given :

A bricks measure 20cm×10cm×3.5cm. How many bricks will be required for a wall of dimensions 25m×2m×0.35m?

Solution :

Volume of brick = Length × Breadth × Height

= 20×10×3.5 cm ³

= 700 cm³

Volume of Wall = 25 m × 2 m × 0.35 m

= 2500 cm× 200 cm × 35 cm

= 17500000 cm³

Number of brick required =
 \frac{volume \: of \: wall}{volume \: of \: brick} \\ \\ = \frac{17500000}{700} = 25000

First find out the volume of brick :

Volume of brick = Length × Breadth × Height

= 20×10×3.5 cm ³

= 700 cm³

Then Volume of Wall :

Volume of Wall = 25 m × 2 m × 0.35 m

Multiply with 100 for making them into cm.

= 2500 cm× 200 cm × 35 cm

= 17500000 cm³

Number of brick required =
 \frac{volume \: of \: wall}{volume \: of \: brick} \\ \\ = \frac{17500000}{700} = 25000
