a bridge across a river makes an angle of 45 with the bank of a river. if the length of the bridge is 100m find the width of the river (Take √2=1.414)​

AC = length = 200 cm

Angle CAB = 45 °

In triangle ABC

Cos 45° = AB / AC

1/ root 2 = AB / 200

AB= 200/ root 2 = 100root 2

Thus the width is 100 root 2 m . *
