It is given that the length of the bars = 20 m = 2000 cm, temperature T = 18 degree Celsius, and the separation between the two poles is 0.4 cm.

It is required to locate the greatest temperature at which the scaffold is still in a decent shape.

The extension will be in a decent shape until the point when the two bars extend by 0.2 cm each as the temperature increments. In this way, let the all out extension be 0.4 cm (2 x 0.2 cm)

The arrangement is given in the following images.
