Peter was 16th year old son of Van Daans.He was attractive ,with blue eyes and dark , curly hair .
When he arrived at the secret annex with his parents,Anne thought him to be shy and awkward. She suddenly started to notice Peter a year and half later.She saw him look at her with longing . soon she had a crush on him .
Anne soon got dissapointed with Peter. He didn't like religion and was too lazy and weak to improve himself . He seemed satisfactory with mediocrity and took easy way out in life rather than one of hardwork
Peter van Daan was a shy, awkward and quiet boy of sixteen. He was thoughtful, sensitive, sensible and observant, different from his loud and brash parents. Reticent and reclusive, he was unlike other boys and Anne initially misjudged him to be a hypochondriac, hypersensitive and lazy.
