Luminous Objects are objects which exhibit light in their own. Luminous objects are objects that have / exhibit their own light. Non-luminous objects are objects that don't have/exhibit their own light and/or reflect light.

luminous implies emission of steady, suffused, glowing light by reflection or in surrounding darkness. lustrous stresses an even, rich light from a surface that reflects brightly without glittering.

Objects that emit light on their own are called luminous objects. Best examples of luminous objects are the sun, stars, light bulb etc. Objects that do not reflect light are known as non luminous objects. Examples of non luminous  objects are wood, plastics, metals .etc
